ACUPUNCTURE
Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. A key component of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is most commonly used to treat pain, decrease stress, balance hormones and support overall wellness. Traditional Chinese medicine explains acupuncture as a technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force — known as chi or qi (chee) — believed to flow through pathways (meridians) in your body. By inserting needles into specific points along these meridians, acupuncture practitioners believe that your energy flow will re-balance. In contrast, many Western practitioners view the acupuncture points as places to stimulate nerves, muscles and connective tissue to reduce pain and restore function.
CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. It was pioneered and developed by Osteopathic Physician John E. Upledger after years of clinical testing and research at Michigan State University where he served as professor of biomechanics.
Using a soft touch which is generally no greater than 5 grams - about the weight of a nickel - practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system. CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and it's effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.

THE GYROTONIC® METHOD
Created by Juliu Horvath, the Gyrotonic method is a movement system that requires the simultaneous lengthening and strengthening of muscles while enhancing joint mobility, restoring structural balance and increasing energetic awareness. Exercise sequences are composed of spiraling, circular movements that connect seamlessly with rhythmic repetitions and corresponding breathing patterns. The method is segmented into two branches – one where exercises are performed on custom designed equipment (Gyrotonic) and one where the exercises are performed on a mat and chair ( GYROKINESIS ®). Both approaches are highly adaptable, making them accessible to everyone, regardless of age or physical ability.
